Deer Outfitter

Can anyone recommend a good outfitter in Alabama? Me, my dad and my brother are wanting to go next season and would like some advice. We can only go in January, so that rules out the Midwest. We don't want Texas. We are looking to keep the cost around $2000 each.
We are looking hard at Tatum Creek. Does anyone have ay experience with them?
Or is there a good place in Arkansas or Mississippi. We will only have 3 days, so that rules out a DIY hunt.

Texas is always a guarantee, I saw you said you didn't want to go there. I've been to Law Creek Ranch twice, it is a high fence operation. We shot management bucks scoring almost 130 inches. It's $1500 for a buck an doe. I was always skeptical about going to a high fence place, but it wasn't like I thought. I'll never pay big money to shoot a giant deer in a high fence, but I don't mind spending $1500 on a management buck. Some friends of mine went to Black Creek Outfitter's in Lexington, Ms. last year and said they had a really good time.

They killed some 8 points about 12 inches, it's $1200. I think you can kill 2 doe's. They said the people were really nice and the food was great. Their website says 8 points 16 inch spread or better, but they said the owners told them to shoot what makes them happy. Here's the links to both places.

Thanks for the help. I had actually looked at both of those places. Unfortunately, my dad and brother kinda have a thing against a high-fence operation. I think we have ruled out Tatum Creek due to several bad reviews but might have settled on Bent Creek in Alabama.

Thanks. Not long after I read your post, the owner of Bent Creek called me. I think that is where we will go. I emailed them yesterday and the owner calls me the next day. I emailed Tatum Creek 3 days ago and have yet to get a response. That tells me what I needed to hear.

Bent creek is a good place, I went a few years ago and may be back soon.. try to go in January to catch the rut there, he has two places, a 'trophy' area and a buck of choice area, basically any buck you kill on the trophy side is an extra 7-800 bucks.. but honestly we all killed our big bucks on the regular side.. the
'non trophy area'... great group of folks
