first hunt of the year

My partner drew a marsh blind at White Lake for today. Ducks and Specks galore, all over the place. Came home with 2 specks, 6 grays, 4 teal, and 1 widgeon. Knocked down but could not find 3 more specks. All blinds scored today, mostly with specks, mallards, and teal.

For those who claim the ducks are not down, they may not be where you hunt but they sure were where we hunted. The old saying that the sky was black with ducks was seen more than once today and the specks were very, very plentifull

Its not hard to understand why the birds are at White Lake. They would prefer eating milo from prepared fields rather than widgeon grass any day!

There's always ducks at white lake..son was picked for youth lottery last year. He shot a couple teal then watch them fly waiting on the big ducks.....and they did come.
