Metal shavings doing out ofbarrel

I usually run a few cotton swabs with oil and/or bore cleaner through my 30 year old deer rifle after each season. This year, I bought some Hoppe's #9 with copper remover and borecleaner. When I ran it through my .270 BAR, little flecks of metal kept coming out after many passes with swabs.
Is this just stuff coming out of the grooves and is a good thing, or are they symptomatic of a more serious problem?
Re: Metal shavings doing out ofbarrel
Not a problem. It's just the solvent getting to the long embedded crud in the barrel.
