14 Pound Bass

Man what a fish!!! Toledo Bend is where it could happen to anyone. This is from the front page of the site. Just incredible. I can't wait to go in April. I caught two just under 8lbs last year. Hope I'm not too late in April? Congrats Kacy on a beast!

From the front page: He might not have expected it, but that's exactly what happened: the 31-year-old angler wound up landing the biggest Toledo Bend lunker of the 2015-16 season when he hooked into a gigantic 14.16-pounder.

We would joke throughout the day about catching 'the big one' not really expecting to hook up with a giant bass, Kacy Fisher said.

Yep, he brought that one in right after my son and I weighed our 11 lbers. That lake is something. Great program by the Toledo Bend Lake Assoc. and their Lunker bass Program. Any bass over 10 lbs. that is weighed and released alive ... the angler gets a free replica mount. They are keeping those bass and their genes in that lake, and the communities around there are doing well on those dollars. We had a few decent sized bass around here, but as soon as someone caught one, they took it home for a skin mount to place on their wall..... these large bass are too valuable for that kind of treatment.
