SWAMPED

Went fishing this weekend...Normally fish, dularge, golden meadow, Vermillion, Grand Isle and pac . Im not gone to say where this happened. There was a family of 3 boats and the last boat were 3 young boys. They had no respect and almost ran me over. Old timers need to get on to the young sters! I have been fishing 20 years now in a Kayak and have never been swamped.It was a area I always go too! The first fishermen ever were in a canoe! Its where it all began! Kids need to understand this.

I was in the gatortail with my buddy that came help you first... This guy was RAN over damn near. He was upside down and everything on the bottom!! The kids where running to close to the bank in which this guy in a yak was paddling down, well away from the boat traffic. I have NO idea how you kept your cool!! Glad your ok buddy!

...we almost got swamped by a 600 ft tanker in the Ship Channel...push'n about 12 feet of water ???...gave him 'da 'American Welcome Bird' (and they waved back) ??? ... but could'n get his numbers ???...

Close enough to get numbers??? Seriously, it happens quickly and your supposed to see the numbers that are hard to see in the first place? Very odd comment

That is a double violation under LDWF rules of the road. I own a waterproof phone and keep it ready for approaching watercraft and have NAILED 2 of them bastards. I fish with my 83 yo crippled father on board and will not accept any BS .2 snap shots and boat numbers are clear and ready for some fun to pursue. Theses cases take awhile but you can drag this garbage around the horn. In your case you could have recovered every penny plus some as YOUR life was threatened. IT IS worth the effort.
