Boy that is some real big bass young man is lucky to have you as a teacher. He can learn bass fishing in a few years which took you many. My sons started to fish tournaments with me when they were about that age. My sons loved fishing and competition and those bass tournaments every week end were so much fun will ever forget. Out of 3 only one went on to fish like me. He was in bass clubs and we fished twice a year at the bend in tournaments I never was a hunter but took them hunting and even bought them a bird dog and to my wife's dismay we had to eat anything we killed. The fisherman loves deer hunting a little more than fishing so his bass tournament ended as he could not do both and earn a living. .
Very nice deer! I used to hunt coming up... but when I went into a plant, and then worked my way up to running it...I had little time. Fishing was something where I could hook up the boat and zoom out there on short notice and get back... with a launch a few minutes either direction from my house. The kids who start out hunting and fishing...very seldom get into trouble. Both my sons go saltwater and freshwater fishing with me all the time. Perhaps they will keep dad in mind when he cannot get around too good.
I had some health problems so reason on PC so much. Got the ok to go fishing and my oldest is picking up am for 4 days down at Lafitte at our camp. We have caught bass, flounder, reds and trout last two trips this does not happen many times.
Rocknet Mike nor the rest of the department care about YOUR or anyone else's facts. They are going to do what THEY want. They will tell you the hurricanes will kill all the fish, so why bother stocking Your facts to them are like water on a ducks back. I feel your pain.
Great fish man, what are you you using? I sell produce off of Hwy 90 on the weekends, and after work I always head to the Love Ridge canal that heads all the way to lake des allmendes..Nothing seems to be back there but gar turtles and a catfish now and again. Although I do find some nice bass in Mr. Jimmy's pond down there.
