Squarebill Crankbaits in shad or bluegill patterns around cypress trees. Ribbit frogs and punching around grass. And on tough days been successful with a shake head trickworm for finicky bass. Hope this helps. Good luck and good fishing.

Just go and figure it out. It is late spring/early summer and the shad spawn is on. Fish feed aggressively this time of year, pick a bait you like to throw, and throw it. Trying to catch fish on a bait someone else is catching fish on is not an easy task. I was there last week in my boat and a buddy of mine was there in his. I was catching fish on a bait that he was throwing as well. Same bait, same color, everything. I caught fish, he did not. He switched to a bait that I was throwing and not getting bit on and he started catching fish. You will fish the same bait as me and not fish it the same, vice versa with a bait you are fishing that I try to imitate.
Bottom line is, just go fishing. Patterns are the same every year. Fish have to feed regularly in warm water. All prey species are active right now. Read the water, read the conditions and figure it out. You will be a better fisherman for it.
