I fish there with a similar boat and there are a lot of possibilities depending on wind/weather. No wind, run out to the bays and islands towards Last Island. If it's windy and rough I run Bayou Sale and hit marsh and ponds. Look at google earth, very helpful at seeing the area that's protected.

BayouTerrebonne been having trout in the middle with see gulls diving . Look for bait shrimp poping! There's been plenty action all week around there .Extremly close and safe from Laperouse Camp ground . Some schools are small size ,some legal . Good luck .

Should be very calm weather in the mornings this weekend, so you ought to be able to get just about anywhere. Fish the barrier islands, especially around the passes in between. The further south you go, the more likely it is that you will find keeper specks under the birds. If you are in south pelto or south timbalier, birds will mean great fish. Also, hit up all the little platforms right before you get to the barrier islands. Stay for a little bit. If no fish, try the next one.

We caught about 20 specks around rock island the other weekend when the wind was bad. We did a lot better getting out a little further to cleaner water in Terrebone Bay. I have caught some good specks in Pelto before around the rigs and structures as well.
