Place to take son shooting?

Reply
Does anyone know of an outdoor private place in the Baton Rouge surrounding area, that I could take my son shooting? Taking my son to a range, where he is surrounded by people with loaded guns that we don't know what their gun safety habits are, doesn't sound like a good idea. I'll put myself in that position, but not him.

Thanks!

My camp is 40 minutes from Cabelas in Napoleonville. I shoot pretty much every week and y'all can come by if you don't find another place. Off hand I can't think of anywhere else that meets your needs. Maybe a WMA in the area?

...looks like a 'couple' of brains got together...we never shot glass always clays, paper, cans or small wood blocks...remember 12 1/2 yrds w/ a 22 LR in a 1 in circle puts it right on at 50 yrds...have fun...cheers

P/S... Ricky if it wasn't so far would take 'ya on at a 'A Dollar a Shot '...( 'ya gott't watch 'dem old farts who spits on 'da front sight )...cheer /cheers

Not a big fan of the good olds days but boy it was so much fun when my 3 sons and I could play all day on the Ramaha area. 22 ammo was a cent and you could get all you wanted, Sure the Ramaha area is now off limits but that was a great place to shot plenty of turtles etc.
