Fishing Lake Catouache In A Canoe??

Reply
Hey everyone I'm new on here, but any help would be really appreciated.

My friend and I had been wanting to go bass fishing Lake Catouache for a fairly long time now, but we only have a canoe mounted with a trolling motor because we are still in college.

My question is if it would be a total waste of time to try and use a canoe to get out to some decent fishing areas and if no, then what are some places to launch/park and maybe some directions to get to decent areas once launched? We usually fish near Ramah, but have never been to Lake Catouche so we know next to nothing about it. Also is there a lot of boat traffic out there to watch out?

We will be driving from Baton Rouge if we do go.

I would think no. From the closest landing you'very got at least 3 -5 miles to go before u get to the lake. My opinion.

no way. pier 90 and bayou signette launch you have some distance to cover to get to lake. And once in the lake you still need to travel to get to any product bass spots.
