Great deer you have there. Just so you and others will know. Cutting the deers throat will mess up the cape if it is to be mounted as already stated. But to make matters worse it doe little to drain blood from a dead deer. If you want to remove blood from the meat so it will taste better soak it in an ice chest for a week. Put ice on it and drain it every day.
