Thinking of taking my two boys to do some crabbing on Price Lake Rd in Rockefeller this week. Any tips or reports from there? Also, I see where people catch shrimp there. Is this possible without a boat? Like using a cast net? Thanks for any help!
you have to have a saltwater fishing license limit, yes you can shrimp check w/ authorities on size and creel for crabs and shrimp and times they open on whether or not shrimp season is open or closed
Thanks. I have all the proper licenses and will check with authorities as you recommend. However, is there a specific area other than Price Lake Rd, where we crab, to do the shrimping? And are you able to catch them with a cast net? I don't have a boat. Thanks!
Best Place to try cast net for shrimp in toward the back of Price Lake road. You will see a weir & new docking facility....& probably other cast netters & crabbers. Portalets there also. Crab on either side of Price Lake Road & cast net on right side of weirs. Moving water with tidal changes usually better results around the wiers.
