Surface Drive Configuration Advice

All: I'm in the market for a 2016 Go-Devil surface drive and boat which will be used for both fishing and hunting. I plan on using the boat as a blind, and I'm seeking some input based on reader experience(s).
Based on cost/HP I've narrowed the engine choice down to the 35 HP Vanguard. The boat is a different matter, however. The 18' version seems to be the right length, but I'm struggling with the beam. The choices are: 48', 54', 56', and 60'. Please share your experiences with the pros and cons of narrower vs wider.
There are a number of accessories and options on the Go-Devil site. The ones I'm most interested in are the poling platform, walk through seat, grass blind, headlights and trolling motor bracket. What are your experiences with those and other options?
Thank you for your time.

Go to A wealth of info on mud motors and boats. If you hunt timber a narrow beam would be best for access between trees and stumps. Open marsh, wider is better.
Good information...thank you.
