Running Lake Cataouatche- Safety for Bass Fishing

Reply
Hey guys, I've heard some talk of Cataouatche making a little comeback and I'm going to go Thursday and give it a shot. I'm just wondering if there's anything I need to be aware of, like shallow water or anything that's silted in that may not be on Navionics. Also, I don't want any 'secret spots' or anything, but if someone could help me eliminate some water that would be great. I'm really just wondering if the north, south, east, or west side of the lake is good. Thanks!

I fish Cataouatche regularly, be careful when you get to the string of bulkheads on the western side of the lake. It looks wide open but there are huge stump form old oak trees below the surface. I would idle to get to da Tank Ponds from there. Many lower units have been ruined. KVD won da 2011 Bassmater Elite fishin those stumps with a chartreuse crank bait and watermelon/red baby brush hog. Good luck and be careful!
