Let's see all halls duck blinds

One of our duck blinds. A 3 man blind with first coat of Roseau cane with bushes to go around it to be added this weekend.

Well brushed blinds. I'm gonna wait til next weekend to brush ours. I like to keep them as green as possible. You see any ducks? We only saw a few blue wings and black ducks in our marsh south of Houma.

Seen a lot of mottled ducks,few pintail ,wigeon ,greys and teal, etc.needing some more cold fronts

No big ducks in SE LA marsh. I have not seen the first grey duck in our area. We are seeing a decent amount of blue wing teal and some motled ducks. I will be out there for the youth hunt this weekend with a couple of boys. Will do some video and give a report on the action.

12x4 open water blind, brushing this weekend

I have been working on my new boat blind and will brush my shore blinds this weekend. I will have both options this year for my guided hunts. I will post pics after the weekend.
There are ducks in Delacroix. Been seeing good numbers of Teal and Greys the last few weeks. Problem is they are in concentrated areas. You either have ducks or you don't. They are not evenly scattered throughout Delacroix, Just like it was for Teal season. Good luck this weekend. Hope the youth hunters get some shots!

I spent the last 3 weekends in Bayou Black. We saw whistlers, woodies, teal, and greys. At least around our lease, the woodies and teal are all over. Could have shot limit after limit of woodies. I didn't have a shirt on and there is zero brush around the blind and they were still landing. I have a feeling that is all we will kill opening day. Duck season needs to be pushed wayyy back. Changing shirts mid-day due to sweat is not exactly duck hunting weather.

hey ricky ,my buddy works for trunkline gas and flew all over bayou black and the wax yesterday and only reported a few flocks of teal ...hopefully the ducks will be down for opening with these few small cold fronts ...not looking good though

I'll be out there again this weekend and let y'all know what I see. I saw a prop plane last weekend flying really low. Believe it or not I'm seeing more ducks now than I saw last year at this time. But I think it will be a very slow opening day. Last year it was a very late push for the first split.
