That's just about right for the powers that be to appoint another advocate for the commercial fishermen. What about the recreational fishermen? The guys that own their own offshore fishing boat (which seems more and more of a crazy investment) can hardly justify going fishing anymore. We get just 9 days for red snapper, of which weather takes about half, people that work can't go fishing during the week days, so maybe a recreational red snapper fisherman will fish two out of nine days. Am I the only one that thinks is the most absurd reasoning I have ever heard in my life. It used to be that you could ALMOST justify going snapper fishing and catch your measly two fish, because you could pick up a few amberjack for the boat to make it somewhat cost effective. BUT NO, now the restaurant lobbyist have paid their way into the decision making. 'OK commercial guys, keep bringing those thousands and thousands of red snapper to our restaurants, but let's crush those recreational guys and give them two per trip. I could go on and on but it makes my blood boil. I have a great idea for the commission, appoint Crabtree to the commission and you can rename it the Commercial and Charter Boat Commission!! Sportsman's Paradise - my ass!!
