Redfish Mount

I haven't been redfishing long and was wondering what is a reasonable size redfish to have mounted? The largest red I have caught to date is 29 inches. Should I have had it mounted?

Its all up to you, personal preference. Any size redfish can be made into a nice mount. And they look a lot better on the wall than pictures. They get much larger than that though.

A 29' Redfish would make a nice mount like the other reader stated it's your personal preference as to what you want to mount but a 29-30' Redfish is nice.

i have one that's 27'. i always wanted one on the wall that was a 'perfect 27'. like the other guys said, it's all on what you want! i have a sac-a-lait on the wall that's only 12', but it was my daughter's first fish, so it's a little different, lol. if you want to eat it, take some pictures and measure overall length and girth to get a reproduction done, if not, check with your taxidermist on how to freeze it. i've had three different taxidermist say three different ways. either way, congrats on the catch and get you a big trout to put next to it, lol
