Tips for Windy Days

Can someone share some tips for fishing the Grand Isle/Leeville area during very windy days? I have a camp booked next week and the wind forecast looks very rough.

Try to get out of the wind!!! Wind out of the south fish the north side of the island. North wind fish south side of island. Find clean water is the key. Live bait works much better in dirty water if you can't find any clean areas. Windy days just plain suck for fishing. I figured out you are setting yourself up for failure by fishing on windy days. I like to catch trout. Trout and wind usually don't go together very well. I'm not saying it can't be done but it is definitely much harder. If I absolutely have to fish in the wind then I will be chasing reds deep in the marsh,

What is the best way to predict where clean water will be?

It takes time to learn an area and know how the water conditions with be in relation to the weather. If you don't have the knowledge then burn some gas and go hunt down that clean water.
