Grand Isle Beaches

Heading to the Island to celebrate my sister's 50th this coming weekend. Staying in a camp on the beach. Any reports on if the specks are still there spawning or already moved in? Any reds being caught in the surf? Any crabs still there? Just looking for some helpful info. Thanks!

Went there last weekend and the water was really clean but the trout were far and few in between. Fished Saturday morning in the surf not far from the big grocery store for about 2hrs and only caught 2 keepers. Was there with the family so didn't really try hard. No live bait matrix shads only. Had fun catching a few sharks. Good luck to you
