Finally Some Deer Activity-Hunting Club

Finally got some very nice pics of some healthy bucks hanging around my deer feeder and a few years ago,one of our club members shot a fine deer,11 point,that weighed 215 and scored 139!!!Been having all sorts of issues with feeder and thought game cam not functional but swapped out SD cards a few times and have finally starting catching some pics of healthy bucks,one a stout 8 point and a nice 6 point that given afew years,might turn to be real stud,right here in good ole St.Tammany Parish,all of about a 15 minute drive from home for me!!!Hoping to finally get wrapped up with food plot preparation and planting and spending some quality time on my extremely comfortable tree stand.

What is really encouraging,aside from quite a few pictures of quality bucks,is that a buddy of mine who has plenty of years of deer hunting under his belt,just replied to my text,including a few nice pics of at least 2 nice bucks feeding together,and he commented that we must have some real good genetics on our club.I would have to agree,particularly since a member shot a huge(for St.Tammany)buck of 11 pts and it was in rut and this buck weighed 215!!Gotta break away from all the distractions I seem to have this time of year and put in some time on my stand!!

What area is your club in?

Paul,My club is located in area 4 St.Tammany Parish located not too far from Lakeshore High off Hwy 1088.Think we have about 3000 acres of timber company land and lucky me as I have quite a number of fine hardwoods all around me and quite a nice herd of does with few nice bucks hanging out!!!

Been trying my best to get food plot worked up and game cam caught a decent pic of me on my fine little Kubota that I have had for too many years to count(actually had Wifey call Japan for a main shaft as I destroyed original-think I had help from guy who I lent tractor to many years ago-never do dat again!!).Looking mighty-fine out out there and got quite a few nice bucks milling around-hope to stick a good one real soon!!
