Opening day

Took a buddy on his first duck hunt to PAC WMA and had a blast. Had our limit within an hour. Mostly teal with a few scaup. Also got 2 coot and a gallinue (which my buddy flipped his pirogue trying to shoot. Glad it was a warm day!)

Nice haul,indeed!!Had similar experience to your buddy's many years ago,though was shooting hen pintail and was not properly set and dunked myself and my hunting buddy shot mature drake pintail that is mounted in his Mandeville Chiropractic office(lucky guy)!!!Going this Wed and Th in Coastal Zone and then hopeful for decent East Zone Opener Sat/Sun!!Heard from quite a few Coastal Zone hunters that they did extremely well both days!!

Yeah wish I could go back. I'll be on a cruise this weekend so won't make it back out until thanksgiving and the following weekend. Hopefully that front brings more gadwall and other big ducks. Good luck to you.
