Knives to help process deer

Reply
From our rescent deer hunting trip in Sonora, Texas, we had numerous deer to clean. From skinning, quartering, and deboning, our knives took some abuse. What got us through the ordeal were Bubba Blade fishing fillet knives. You heard correctly, fishing fillet knives. Every night we put edges at 25 degrees using honing sticks. They were abused but worked great. My favorites were the 7 inch fillet and 9 inch Blade.

You are correct, they do work wonderfully. If I can plug a product on this post, try a Work Sharp Sharpener. It is a belt sharpener and comes with many different belts and can sharpen everything from an ax, to scissors and knives. Makes putting an edge on a knife idiot proof.
