Re: Land owner rights

manchachunter - Do you allow commercial flights or any other aircraft to fly over your property? If I own a house on Bayou Manchac or any other PUBLIC body of water and I build a seawall, pier or any other structure extending out into the PUBLIC waterway, can I then keep people from throwing a bait underneath said structure? It's my property, right?
Bottom line is when someone is on YOUR property, you can and should do whatever you can and need to do to keep that person off of YOUR property. Public water is not your property, it belongs to the state. If I step foot on your property, I will gladly take whatever the court deems a fitting punishment.
Something else all of these 'landowners' need to realize is that the day will come when they no longer own their 'land'. Someone with too much money to care will buy up everything and these same 'landowners' will be left wondering why they have nowhere left to enjoy what they love to do.
