Had some decent time on my hands(went solo)and wanted to check out some potential sac au lait spots and launched at my favorite T-Funky launch at 3 Rivers, scoped out a few spots, caught a small perch almost immediately and headed to where I had been having decent success on sac au lait and was using Slab Daddy jigging pole with Salter black and chartreuse tube jigs tipped with Crappie Psychic trailers and Powerbait Crappie Nibbles and cork went down like it was hooked to anchor, set the hook and spotted nice bass,field-guestimated at about 2 lbs, netted fish and sent few pics to some buddies and started pecking away with final tally 3 sac au lait and 2 bass, one slightly under 2 lbs on digital scale and biggest sac au lait shade under .75!!Found a few nice slabs congregating under neat cypress tree and unfortunately missed more than I boated(5 hooked,2 boated!!)!Water still considerably stained and probably heading back to usual sac au lait haunts tomorrow!!Saw a few diamond-backed water snakes and tons of turtles for what dat is worth and did see big blue heron grab big perch(had some T-Funky ole timers tell me to look for the herons as they are excellent at nabbing perch)and bass prey on perch, especially smaller fry!!Hope water conditons improve and it certainly is quite a blast nabbing 2 lb bass on Slab Daddy jigging pole(wonder why they would go after such a small lure)!!!Did try tossing RoadRunner sac au lait lure in spot where depthfinder indicated slabs might be congregating but no go!!Got neat dual Sonar/DownScan screens displayed on depthfinder and once sac au lait spawn over, might start trying my hand at deep-jigging!!
