Grand Isle Beaches?

Heading to the Island June 7-10 for a long weekend with the family. Just getting some help or advice about the surf fishing. I know a lot depends on wind, tide, water clarity, but figured this time of year it should be decent. Also, crabbing should be pretty good as well I'm guessing. Any info would help. Thanks!

Me and the cousins rented a beach camp on Grand Isle for this weekend. Headed there Thursday through Sunday with the intentions of catching and boiling some crabs. I will keep you posted.

Hey I was wondering how y'all did with crabs this past weekend. I'm going this weekend actually and wondering if its worth throwing a few traps out or not. Thanks

How was the crabbing?

We were down from Memorial Day through 6/3. Fishing was terrible due to high wind, but surprisingly the crabs were not that bad for this time of year (decent size and pretty full). I had 7 traps out for 2 days and ended up boiling about 5 dozen. I think the stirred up water helped with catching. Need to put traps on inside of rocks to keep them protected.
