Another Week of Catching

Day one with Jack Legendre and crew was a Grand Slam!! I told the guys from the start to expect the worse and hope for the best! With winds blowing almost 30 mph we found a protected area and the reds were stacked like sardines! It took my crew 30 minutes to fill the K2Cooler with 25 reds and 2 pup drum. Bait shrimp under a Four Horseman Cork did the trick. Big thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat. What a blast we had.

Day two with Jack Legendre and crew was another success. We went straight back to where we found them the previous day. We found a slower bite, but stayed patient and put the limit together by 10:30. A great two days with these guys. Thanks Capt T Miller for running the second boat and to Chef Leonard Adkins for all the fabulous cooking.

Had my very good customer back onboard the Bluewave today. We found a somewhat slower bite then the day before adding 8 reds to the K2Cooler. We changed zip codes and got up to 10 on a point. Moved again and got to 15 reds and some lost green trout. Shrimp under a #fourhorsemancork and green hornet #matrixshad accounted for all of our fish. Big thanks to Chef Shawn P Whitney for doing all the great cooking for these guys.

Toby Rich and crew were back on the #bluewaveboats with me again for a beat the heat trip. We picked away all night on double rigged #matrixshad lures. The fish never turned on hot and heavy, but we put together a nice box of fish. Always a fun time fishing with these guys.

I doubled back after night fishing to fish with Scott King and crew. We were greeted with slick calm seas. Our first stop was battling of the bulls as we were surrounded by a Red Tide, thousands of bulls reds all on the surface around us. After the guys hooked several each, we moved on looking for trout. Our third stop the guys started picking away putting trout in the K2Cooler. Our fourth stop is where we had our best bite with everyone catching fish. When this bite died we took it to the dock with zero wind it felt like a oven out there. Make sure you drink plenty water! Thanks guys for a great trip.

John Weeks and family joined me again today with wife and three kids 13, 11, and 8. We got off to a great start as we had the specks coming in on double rigged #matrixshad and on top water #matrixmullets almost everycast at our first stop. The action was non stop and the smiles on the kids faces said it all! We made a few moves once the hot bite quit and picked away at another 20 fish before the heat got so bad we called it quits. Big thanks to Capt R Dupont and Capt T Ortego for running the other two boats with Tellus.
