Been way too much fun tossing Bomber spinner bait to grass-bed reds and soft plastics to bass and had decent window of opportunity today to chase both bass and reds.Launched at Cane, navigated thick matted salvinia and knew I had only a few hours before predicted big ole thunderstorms would roll in from S Shore.Made my way to protected cove, tossed Yum Swimming Dinger, black and sapphire and nabbed two bass, let first guy go(he was a tad small)and hit thick grass beds, tossing Bomber Spinner Bait and tangled with two fine reds, when I nabbed second one,he had at least three similar-sized reds cruising around like they typically do.From bow of Southfork, easy to see exactly where ya need to place lures and I did spook a few reds just before huge, predicted(WUnderground)thunderstorm started rolling in.Have absolutely no doubt I woulda nabbed close to solo limit had the storm not chased me in!!!Have meetings tomorrow and Th or I would return and chase more fine grilling-sized reds with no need to measure a single one!!!They hang out in grass beds, along with the mullets and stingrays and today I spotted at least 5 big stingrays, never a bad sign!!!Probably accidentally spooked at least 5 nice reds, the water is gin-clear where I target them!!!
