I was using a play on words, not outright calling anyone a liar, just saying that perhaps there was a slight SWAG(any scientist knows what a SWAG is and for those who do not know SWAG is Statistical Wild Ass Guess)to the numbers of ducks reported and I can give a few reasons why someone might do such a thing but the bottom line is most of us had poor seasons and we were being told that there were 'X' numbers of ducks seen/reported/counted,etc and I am not buying those numbers, not outright calling anyone a liar just saying that there were some 'exaggerations' with respect to actual numbers of ducks, plain and simple.I rely more on my network of diehard duck hunters and for teal season, where I hunt we rarely kill more than a handful of teal/season and they are so erratic that I might scout and find pockets of teal and next day see zero teal so I put zero emphasis on anyone's flight surveys.Get out and scout and find ya own ducks just like I tell folks about fishing, same applies-a duck has wings and flies and a fish has fins and swims-just because ya caught fish in this particular stretch of water/shot ducks in this particular pond, that does not guarantee one fish/duck.etc will be there next day, plain and simple.Hope folks throughout our awesome Sportsman's Paradise find a few willing blue wings this week end and if not,do not blame it on aerial surveys just chalk it up to de flighty nature of the quarry we are pursuing!!!Novel idea but works for me!
