Getting down with Deer around

I would like to hear how people handle the age old problem of getting off a stand with deer very nearby. In my case my bow stand is near my feeder and there is no way I can climb down quietly enough for them not to see or hear me. My camera shows the does often staying around the feeder for a few hours after sunset. Thanks for your comments.

There really isn't a good way to get down without alerting the deer. I have put my flashlight on strobe before to get the deer to leave, however, oddly enough, this doesn't always work. If you don't want to have this problem you just need to move your stand further away from the actual feeding area and closer to the routes/trails that deer are taking to get to your feeder. You should have a pretty good idea of how the deer are moving through the area..I know this doesn't fix your problem but hope this helps.

I usually throw my spit bottle in there direction or run a flatline through one of them. They will move I promise.

Just start talking to them loudly. You don’t want them to see you or smell you but if you keep talking out loud they’ll eventually get nervous and run off. An alternative is use your phone to play the sound of a bobcat from YouTube but it may not be loud enough. Talking always works. Have fun with it and tell them whatever you’d like.
