Another great opener for the memory bank!

Ended up with 8 beautiful greys, 3 gw teal (1 banded) and 1 female spoonie.

Saw thousands of high flyers headed towards the Sound.

Thanks, Mandevillian!!! Launched out of Hopedale Marina and hunted our small lease (160 acres) around Biloxi Marsh.

Re: Another Successful Opener
I used to have decent lease(though at the time totally devoid of SAV)in Hopedale,Biloxi Marsh Land Corp was land-holder and we used to make the run from Mandeville to Hopedale Marina, was called Breton Sound Marina at the time, and we shot the most un-desirable of all ducks,in my humble estimation, spoonies and dos-gris and Wifey hated cooking those rascals as dey made de house a stinkeroo!!!

DuckSmasher504,Aweesome to kill a banded bird-I have never shot a banded duck and hunt with a guy that has about 40 years of duck hunting under his belt and he has never shot a banded bird!!Was hunting with a buddy many, many years ago and he shot a banded greenhead and we were hunting the Honey Island Swamp and my buddy sent his beloved chocolate lab,Eve,to retrieve another hunter's wood duck and the doggone duck was banded!!!Hope springs eternal and my goal is to eventually get a banded duck.Did shoot banded turkey many, many years ago and that actually may be rarer than shooting a banded duck!!Congrats and this weather has all of us die-hards jazzed up!!

More birds you kill better your chances of killing a band .... I was lucky enough to also get my 10th band on sunday. A blue wing teal drake banded in Saskatchewan in August by a guy who is from Baton Rouge of all places.
