Alabama deer hunters

I know we have many Louisiana residents that deer hunt in Alabama (I'm one). You should know that due to CWD regulations, if you kill a deer in Alabama, you cannot transport the meat through Mississippi back home to Louisiana unless it is deboned. The other usual CWD rules apply, no spinal material, no brain material, etc.

Even though Louisiana allows deer quarters with the bone in to be brought into the state, it is illegal to bring it in and/or transport it through Mississippi.

If you hunt deer hunt (elk too) out of state, you need to debone whatever you kill, wherever you kill it.

I just wanted to give a heads-up for those that may not know.

*This also applies to deer killed in Mississippi

(Pic for attention, this deer was killed in Texas and deboned before travelling back to Louisiana)
