There's a boat launch on prong road, i was wondering the same thing, probably could find out from the people with camps there. My camper is at river view campground in Vidalia, was thinking about moving it to Three rivers campground, probably go there after the weekend check it out.

Yea we are moving our camper to three rivers campground it’s a nice place has shooting range, a cleaning station with lights, water, electricity and all that. 1500$ a year plus monthly utilities. Would really like to look into hunting old river next year guess I’ll have to go check it out in person this summer.

The lake itself is public but anything inside the tree line is private. When the water is at its normal level you can not get to the tree line on most of the lake. Glascock island hunting club owns most of the land around the lake and have a deputy patrol it when the water is high and will write tickets for people trespassing. Know people that have got them. That being said, as long as you stay out towards the main lake, they usually do not bother you. It is usually the guys that go inside the tree line and are wading that get in trouble. Most of that club is deer hunters and they have food plots that are near the lake so they get pretty upset when people are duck hunting near them.

Remember that according to Louisiana law, flood water is not considered navigable waterways and you can and will be ticketed for trespassing if you hunt it. Even if you are hunting out of the boat.
