most of the guides don't spend much time reading the reports section, they don't have time. They usually have one of their employees or a wife post their reports after they write them down. Most guides post at anywhere from 5-10 different outdoors sites.

You can search the archives, past articles in the magazine, and also google "fishing for tuna". Also, if you see a report about tuna fishing the lump, email the poster directly, or simply reply to his report.

Hope this helps.

If your serious about this then what your gonna have to do is go out and find you a young oak tree about 7 to 8 inches around. Cut it about 6ft and wrap you one of those Scooby Doo reels on there with some real good electrical tape. Then, for bait I suggest putting one of those rubber chickens on, just for alittle fun. Then, jump into one of those little dug-out Cajun Canoes and paddle you butt Oh, about 20 or so miles down that old river until you come to this great big oppening. By this time, youll be so tired, you probably just want to take a nap. But be carefull, there are lots of bigger boats comin in and out all the time. So, if your serious about goin out to the Lump, Well lets just say you better have somethin just shy of an oak tree for a pole and a reel that holds enough line thats heavy enough to hold the New Orleans Saints laundry. Well, I hope this helps, your buddy Mississippi

you need 3 times that much rope to go to the lump (650 ft should do)and plenty anchor and chain! -for tuna, most people use poagies chummed and then freeline into the chumline. if you see them up top you could also toss a pink or blue
"yummy" (basically a flying fish retreived as fast as you can!)... you could also try diamond jigs or snapper lines at different depths for all types of different creatures...
