Anybody know how the water level is at Lake Verret? I know the spillway side is high based on the 7' reading at Morgan City. I was thinking about going to Verret next week for cats and bream. Thanks, Mike
Water level gauge in Belle River showing 2.69'. Record level is 3.3' So we're about 6 inches from the highest level recorded at that site. I have property on La. 70 in Pierre Part and the water is very high. Don't know what you're fishing for, but when water is this high the fish are usually in the woods feeding!
Aiming for catfish and bream. Maybe I will wait till it drops some. I have fished Verret in the past when it was high but didn't do well because they were in the woods. Thanks for the quick reply.
south side of lake verret. it's a private launch before you get to the public one (Attakapas Landing) at the end of hwy 401....if you look on google maps, you'll see attakapas landing, go north and east a little bit...bayou crab is the straight muddy canal off of hwy 400...you'll see a few camps lining it and it dumps into the lake
