Me and Medicare Client launched his fine G3 this am at 4th St and we fished quite a few spots, starting off with Spro frog(me)and he was fly-fishing and we searched and searched, finally catching a whopping two fish,me finally hooking and boating a decent bass and he nabbed fine sac a lait on wooly booger,of all things!!!The water was fairly murky pretty much everywhere we fished and we saw a handful of fishermen today.Looks like the 3 Rivers Rd Launch outta commission,at least for the time-being and dat is a shame as that lil launch leads to plenty of nice oxbows that should hold some fat sac a lait and bass.Headed to Sherburne WMA this Fri-Sun and hope Wifey and I at least either see or hear a wild turkey and if nothing else,we may find some willing fish right in Little Alabama Bayou!!!

Man I hope you get a turkey out there but the smart money is the fish will be more cooperative. Lol.

Mandevillian,
How do you do for Sherburne Turkey Lottery? My two boys and I struck out. Did not hear or see a single bird. As of Saturday morning only two jakes were killed.

Wifey and I got a late start this past Friday, leaving Mandeville well after 4:30 pm and we had absolutely no chance to scout, getting to Value Inn in Livonia around 8:00 pm(had obligatory stop at Bass Pro).Hunted later than we wanted Sat,getting launched in Little Alabama Bayou around 8:30,hunted the same general area where about 15 years ago I killed banded jake, saw nothing but big ole woodpecker hammering huge tree, heard not a gobble, zero shotgun blasts and slept in Sunday.Hey,at least you reported two jakes being killed, maybe there is hope for Sherburne afterall-used to be one of LA's finest WMA's for wild turkeys!!

Hit T-Funky this past Tuesday with a Medicare client and his grandson and the only fish anyone managed to hook was a small perch his grandson hooked but perch managed to slip the hook pronto before we could hoist the little jewel aboard.Water was terrible, looking like MS River water just about everywhere. We launched at 4th street and did see yakker with nice bass on stringer, probably 2.5 lb chunk and think fishing terrible pretty much entire length of muddy T-Funky,unfortunately!!!
