Safety on the Water !!’

Yesterday I went out for a catch & release day of fishing, was in a area that I frequent quite often , I could hear a boat coming from observing its T top and the roar of its engines , with no regards for safety!! This Fishing Guide comes flying around a blind turn at full throttle, not realizing Or just didn’t care , causing my boat to rock back in forth , if I would of been anchored another 30ft over he would of ran over me , he had no reguards for safety at all !!!!! That kind of person needs to take a class on safely operating a water craft he could be responsible for his actions ! Not to mention Liable ??🧙‍♂️

Yep,Wiz,plenty of morons out there and it reminds me of perhaps one of the finest Lake P fisherman there ever was,a gent by the name of William Hungerford,Mr.Bill as I would reverently call him.Without calling out names,he had his share of morons that would ruin his day, either by following him to his favorite stretch of Lake P Causeway and anchoring right on top of 'his' fish(all kidding aside,he was an ornery guy),or by getting close enough that he could cast into their boats!!One time I was fishing the Causeway with him and off in the distance,he spotted an 'intruder' and right away he announces to me,'Here comes a Dummy and a Professional Dummy',to which I asked what he meant and the Dummy was the client and guess who the Professional Dummy was???He absolutely had zero regard for guides as they most definitely used him like most folks use diving birds!!!Miss ole Mr.Bill and he taught me and my older son some jigging tricks and can't tell ya how many doormat flounders I pulled up from the Causeway, using some of his secrets!!!You remind me so much of Mr.Bill except that you are not ornery and wish ya woulda had a chance to meet him. Can't tell ya how many times we purposely lost fish as on-lookers would see us at Causeway nabbing fat azz specks probably all of 3 plus lbs and he would get angry if I set the hook while someone was 'spying' on us and I still to this day sometimes lose fish on purpose to protect a spot, hate doing it but sometimes ya gotta do it!!!Happy Memorial Day to ya and all the other Veterans out there!

: To fishiac There was another boat fishing not too far from me, he came over to check on me , after noticing what had happened, he told me it was a F M boat, really didn’t have time to get his boat # , was still dazed from what had just happened .
