Help in Cocodrie

Reply

Looking to catch some reds around the Cocodrie area, know very little about the area. I have fished around Lake Boudreaux, and a little north of Coco marina. Any help would be great, thanks.

Timbalier island across terrebonne bay, troll around the island popping a cork on live shrimp or cocahoe bring 3-4lbs of fresh shrimp also, fish about 12-18” under cork. If the wind is coming from the south, east, or west terrebonne bay will be rough depends on wind speed and tide movement alot calmer if the wind is coming out the north.

Thanks for the help. It would have to be a really calm day for me to go out that far. I only have a 17ft. Aluminum boat.

I’ve been passing Hwy 56 each time I go to the camp noticing how clean the water looks on the east side of lake Boudreaux. There is a ton of grass filtering ALL the dirty water now. If I were big on redfishing, I’d probably troll the whole east bank of the lake with a frog or a gold spoon along those grass beds.

Thanks I may have to try that. It doesn't look good for this weekend with the rain but may try Sat.
