Made an afternoon trip. Water came up a little. Very clear though. Slight overcast. Manged 6 bass, 2 perch and mom got a nice catfish.
Tough fishing for me right now. Really hate this summertime fishing.
2 on Pop-R ole bass, 2 on watermelon red Senko and 2 on shad themed spinner bait.
Come on fall.

Not sure where you’re fishing but I haven’t had any good luck fishing clean water. Seems a dark stain color is the ticket right now. Even a little on the muddy side is good to. Jus a heads up if you would want to try on you’re next trip. Tight lines.

Me and die-hard fly fishing buddy headed to T-Funky tomorrow very early hoping I can still fly-cast and will be tagging along frog pole plus worm rod, hope we nab a few nice fish will post our results.Been busy as a bee(pun intended)constructing very big and fine bee box and the honey we extracted from son's bee box incredible.Makes great baste for chicken and reds and might work very well on bass!!!

Gotcha. Seems all the canals where I fish are crystal clear right now. The last hour of the days always yields a pretty good top-water bite on the Pop-R but I run out of light and the mosquitoes were horrendous. Yesterday yielded 6 but only four of them were keepers. All released.

Me and a buddy had a fun but not very productive trip on Bogue Falaya(N section is about as clear as our Artesian well water)just yesterday and we found so many bream beds side-by-side that they resembled huge honey comb and the bass know where to snag an easy meal or two, right by those bream beds.Kinda hard to beat Zoom Speed Worm,June Bug Red,tossed right near or on top of bream beds.Only managed two decent bass, bigger right at about a lb and the smaller was not that much smaller.Working on huge bee box right now and might head back to Bogue Falaya tomorrow, might check out new canoe/kayak launch in Bogue Falaya Park, looked mighty fine when we went to see 'Sparks in the Park' this past Wednesday!!

Very nice catch and probably prime time too chase bass vs ANYTHING swimming in toxic waters in Lake P Basin. What folks need to pay attention to is the fact that many, many carcinogens and toxic contaminants are routinely being dumped into the MS and guess where these 'invisible' toxins are right now-dat's right in the flesh of the fish swimming in the Lake and perhaps none other than Lee Zurik needs to do an expose' on not only what is swimming in the Lake P Basin but why folks need to refrain from consumption of ANYTHING originating in that toxic and potentially carcinogenic environment.Once I get data and facts lined up will post what is potentially lurking in Lady P and it aint gonna be innocuous chemicals, trust me!!Some of what has been routinely dumped into the MS has half-lives of up to 100 years and that is a measure of how long it takes for just one-half of a compound to be degraded. What is worse is that fish that consume contaminated fish store toxins in their flesh, fat, skin, etc and guess who gets exposed to very high levels when they ingest those fish and there is no way short of lab analysis of telling what levels of chemicals like Mercury,PCB's,etc are present in what to the naked eye looks very good to eat.Stand by for what may cause some eyebrows to be raised!!!
