First Teal Sighting of the Year

I went down to the Delacroix today. Actually saw 15 teal (one flock of 10, group of 3, and a pair) along with plenty mottled ducks and tree ducks. Seeing those fist migrating teal of the season got me excited!
Soon will be time to make and brush blinds. Grass looks good also!

Man,Dat is what it is all about, teal rockets and plenty of feed, hopefully to keep em interested.I have been extremely fortunate to meet a gent who knows the Delacroix Marsh better than anyone else I know and he keeps telling me Fall is when dem big ole specks nail soft plastics and Top-Waters like no tomorrow and like I told ya via text, can't wait to get de ole Southfork back out and chasing reds and possibly finding some NShore teal. Thanks for the head's up and hope yall slam some teal and maybe catch some big Delacroix reds and specks. Not sure when I will scout, kinda getting the itch, and hate week ends when way too many boaters out and about!!Good Luck and keep us posted and I will do likewise-love de way the Navionics upgrade has improved my Hook2-5 TripleShot-just gotta get her out and check out GPS/Depthfinder!!

Proud Pop seeing any teal while running the lines? I've talked to a few fishing buddies that report seeing a few bands floating around on the Oak River side

Hey Mullet, was just getting ready to send a report. We saw about 45-50 this morning while running the gator lines. They were mostly interested to small flocks around 5 with a few singles and pairs also. Was surprised to se that many as we only saw one pair last week. Got me a little excited about the teal opener next weekend but boy is it hot! Goody luck to everyone!

Proud Pop, Thanks fished a bit yesterday made the run to Oak River, SL, Lost Lake, Lake Lery and saw about the same, no real concertation but enough to get my interest up and the heat is on in Southeast Louisiana Marshes it is hot, also noticed some folks pulling gator lines up not as many as in the beginning of the season hopefully there has been a dent knocked in the population

Doing our best to take out the dog killers and the duck stealers. Looking forward to the weekend.
