Well,Finally got a decent break in extremely busy schedule and initial plan was to take Medicare Client out on my Southfork(think I got Lowrance Transducer about as good as can be expected on flatboat)and around 4:45 am today got text that he was not up to heading out,Wifey and I slept in tad later than either of us wanted and I decided I needed some Lady P therapy as folks getting antsy for fishing reports vs reports about my Southfork, sorry if I have not had time/inclination to fish at least where some fish might be caught.Had two fine Lew's baitcasters aboard, one with Zoom Speed Worm,Junebug Red,the other fitted with possibly the best redfish lure I have tossed,Bomber Spinner Bait, fitted with incredibly effective Yum Mud Minnow,Marshland Sports in Ponchatoula stocks em!Launched around crack of 9:00am!! after getting big bag of ice and noticed travel trailer parked at Cane Bayou Launch, think Bayou Adventures has that trailer set up out there???Found incredible mullet activity out in Lady P and tossed and tossed Bomber and was beginning to think skunkeroo about to happen when decent 17 inch red inhaled lure and quickly dispatched him to ice bath and not too long after had what looked like gar nail Bomber but luckily turned out to be 20 inch red, quickly dispatched him to ice bath and added smallish bass dat likewise could not resist Bomber, glad I found dat lure and at the time,Wally World had em in Bargain Bin,now they stocked at all Wally World's,great lure especially with gold spinner blade drawing attention while Yum Mud Minnow dances and flicks its tail, enticing every fish out there too nail it.Saw huge turtle and big dead gator, probably every bit of 9 ft long, looked like he grabbed gator line and somehow drowned and no one claimed it,what a waste of big gator.Saw nice puppy drum chasing Bomber(told yall dat Bomber attracts more than its fair share of attention).Lowrance Depthfinder quite a gem and lowering transducer a tad allowed speeds up to about 20 mph before losing contact with bottom, might lower a tad but gearing up for awesome Ozarks trip later this week and doubt I will have time to tinker with it.Love all the screens this lil gem offers and kept downscan on today, lotta structure out where I fished and only gonna get better as E winds should increase salinity(saw plenty of synchronized mullet dances, possibly jacks, sharks, bull reds)!!!Go out and get you some, best part burned 1.5 gal of gas, probably burned more in tow vehicle vs boat!!Initial plan was to visit TheWizard7 but with NE and E winds predicted, hard to beat grassy shorelines on NShore!!!!

Sounds like a good trip! Lady P should be cleaning up. Have to head up to MS to prep food plots with Lime and 13-13-13 prior to seeding next month. Probably take me four days of work. Hope to be back to fishing soon. Have a safe trip up to Arkansas. Take plenty of pics!!!

ThanksCCAguns.I worked very hard on deer food plots and probably should test my soil and I suspect I need plenty of lime. From what I understand,NS soils typically are acidic from pine needles and it takes quite a bit of lime to elevate ph to an appreciable degree.Guess you get dumptrucks of lime on your ranch.I probably need at least a ton or more and this year will measure my food plots carefully and get clover, wheat, oats and probably some rye to toss out there.Just got in few hours ago from Delta Waterfowl NShore Banquet Planning meeting and looking forward to getting more Corporate Sponsors involved.Hoping to land a few hunt-related companies and NShore Banquet is set for Sept 26th at Covington Country Club.Yep,Ole Lady P clearing up very nicely and always nice to have willing reds so close to home.Love my new electronics!!Lastly, checked out some photos from Cotter Trout Dock in Cotter,Arkansas and that is one of the easiest places to catch fine rainbows on the White River. Our older son smoked the reds and small bass I caught and smoked fish is incredible(hope to come back home with plenty of fat rainbows)!!!

Yep,Dem Pelicans know some stuff🎣🐠That dead oak tree dead give away to where dem reds hooked and not a surprise that they were deeper than right under the surface. Love watching dem reds track down Bomber looking like hound dog tracking a rabbit🐕🎣🎩

Little tough, deep fry em like a turkey. Kids will love it!

Great job on lady P Mr M! Went to Shell Beach a couple times over the holiday weekend. Lots of catfish, rat reds, and other fishes. Wind was too much to get out into Lake Borgne with the yacks. Spoke with a couple guides and they were having trouble connecting too, made me feel better. I's sure it will get better as we get into fall.
