Sunday I had the pleasure of helping good friends and family with a memorable gator hunt in the Delacroix marsh. Emery, Mitchell, and Jourdan all took there first gators on this trip. We had lots of excitement bringing 5 gators back to the dock that were between 8 and 11 ft. Emery jumped right in with the guys and was not afraid to get her hands dirty and really experience the hunt. It is very rewarding to help create the memories of their first gator hunt and share the adrenaline rush of seeing the enormous size of these gators as they break the surface of the water for the first time. We were able to put a small dent in the huge gator population that is growing year to year in Delacroix. Please leave your hunting dogs at home during teal season. There are big gators everywhere, even if you don’t ever see them.
