Nuck and Futz Honey Island Duck Hunt 11 13 19

De Nuck and Futz(especially today)duck busters hit one of our ole-time spots in Coastal Zone,I chatted with guys having tad of a difficult time starting their Gator Trax and we went on our separate ways, though they most likely were hunting not too far from me and once I spotted their Q beam flickering, did de courteous thing and found a spot well away from them and hunkered down in nice lil Roseau blind, blinded up my Chapman with her new camo war paint on her, makes it very easy to blind her up,using as many giant palmetto branches as I can harvest, typically takes about 12-15,less if they are freshly-cut.Had immature drake and hen Woodie land about ten minutes ahead of legal shooting time and they flipped me off right about three minutes prior to legal shooting time!!!Did see a nice flock of teal that wanted no part of my plastic parade and I did not fire a shot and Nuck managed nice pair of healthy greys!!!Might try return trip next Th,uness I can swing a Venice trip instead!!!Did not see lotta ducks nor did we hear lots of shooting, maybe Opening Week End blasted out a bunch!!!

Well, I wish your report was better. But, at least you got out and were safe. Did you launch at the middle river? I would have though several 'replacements' would have shown up since the weekend with this weather.

Gadwall,No we typically launch at last launch before MS State line and there are plenty of spots to scatter hunters, just do not expect to have that area to ya lonesome, other than mid-week hunts.I was truly cursed today but there is always another hunt and I try to make as many mid-week hunts as my schedule allows.Seriously considering a Venice hunt possibly next Th,though that is quite the haul but from the reports I have gotten, absolutely well worth it!!

Headed back this Th(just cut 12 fine palmetto branches to add to de bunch-makes for incredibly effective blinds)and ready to blast a few and might do Medicare Client somewhat of a favor in that he wants coots and saw plenty where I was hunkered down last Wed.They may have gotten blasted this week end(I personally never try that area on week ends)and will check tides and predicted wind conditions and hope for de best!!!Gonna miss E Zone Opener this Sat due to schedule conflict but no biggie as I hope this Wed more than makes up for it!!!
