Good trout catch 11/16/2019

Went to Bayou Bienvenue yesterday with my cousin. Caught 2 limits of trout. We had live shrimp but it was not necessary yesterday. 95% of all trout were caught on a plastics raking the bottom. Plastic needed to be in the green color. A tail like a cocahoe minnow would help. Again ol school green was the ticket with a slow retreive. It was cold so that's probably why you had to rake the bottom.
We also had a freshwater cat and 2 bass. We didn't start catching till about 9 and we were back at the launch for noon.

Today I went back and today 11/24/2019 was not the same. I witnessed many fish being caught but we only ended up with 6. In conclusion I have decided that you guys can keep the following

Bayou Bienvenue because its too dangerous passing thru those locks and at best the fishing is hit and more miss.

Delacroix because their launch is too steep and just sucks. Way to much fresh water and seaweed.

Hopedale: because of launch, the sheer number of madness, and the dam dam.

Ya'll enjoy. im not going to these places any more.

cycloneman,Don't blame ya one bit.I hate steep launches and hate crowded fishing and typically dat is what ya get at Community spots.Duck hunted yesterday and from the looks of the launch area,we figured we were gonna have hunters all around us but guess the folks hunting same area as us yesterday were seasoned duck hunters as we heard shooting but never did see hunters and it helped and hurt at times to have hunters to keep ducks flying vs sitting down well away from anyone!I love fishing either the Causeway or the fine shorelines on NShore but due to my busy schedule, not having any appreciable time until Dec 8th and that is fine with me as we shot a nice haul of ducks yesterday and might have knocked down possibly 6 more(lost only one) had we not had shooting all around us,even though the shots were probably no closer than about 700 yards away.Ducks get skittish pronto!!
