dredger,Definitelty count your blessings as where Bayoubob and I have been hunting must be No-Fly Zone for what used to be our bread n butter duck, the gadwall!!!Pretty much all but gave up on Marsh duck hunting as insanity is repeating something over and over and expecting different result and it would certainly be classified as insanity to keep hoping greys show up in NShore Marsh,at least where we had been hunting.Just got Chapman loaded as well as 5 Woodie decoys to go with big greenhead(have seen and heard a few mallards where I have been hunting lately)and the best part of my wood duck hunts, besides the tasty nature of my quarry,is the relative ease of the hunt coupled with fact that by 7:15 or so,pretty much done and have 3 client meetings tomorrow starting at 1:30 pm.Probably tossing in towel as far as typical Marsh hunts and might seek few sloughs away from beaten paths to increase not only success but reduced pressure and one of the allures of wood duck hunting is the shear beauty of those drakes and their environment aint too shabby to boot!!!Good luck to all, can't wait for crawfish and turkey season aint dat far away!!!Honey Island got plenty big mud bugs but best success is once again, off the beaten paths!!!Hard to beat taste of cypress swamp mudbugs, think the water and trees makes em sweeter!!!
