Don’t use NO Stinking Shrimp or Cockahoes

Went out this morning, water temperature was 58 degrees tide was falling, I tried a new spot on ole map I had and it was amazing how the trout were stacked up! I tied on a home made ( I painted) twitch bait that was the key to a great morning fish battle, I caught over 20 very nice trout and released them all back to fight again another day!! 🧙‍♂️🎣

Nice ending to 2019! Impressive with the hand painted lure too! Most importantly - thanks for your stewardship of our natural resources and your catch & release ethics. Of course keeping a couple for a fresh trout dinner is always nice too.

Thanks for the comment, I did a repeat today, only getting 1 picture off phone before battery dead ( have new one on order ) got on a good bite till 30 lb red decided it wanted my plug , took me about 30 minutes to bring her into boat only getting pic and weight then returning her to water and watching her swim away 🧙‍♂️🎣

Wiz - great excitement bringing that fish to the boat & even more thrilling when you see that water go through those gills a few times & and you feel that tail kicking against you telling you that she’s strong enough to get going!

Happy 2020 to you & your family and best wishes for many more good & safe trips!

Wiz,Gonna have to find me some time to get on down to ya section of Paradise and hope to squeeze in some fishing therapy soon.Might have to tag along baitcaster for Honey Island Woodie trips as dat would make deep-water slough retrieves a snap!!!Probably would get a few chuckles from some dem Woodie hunters but beats trying to wade to get after some dem downed woodies!!!With the level of de Swamp being what it currently is,bet ya bottom dollar de damn Spillway gets opened yet again and there goes yet another speck spring season, all de more reason to head S for fish just like we headed N to target mallards in Arkansas!
