GREYS FOR DAYS !!

5 man limit by 7:45 monday . 4 of us hunted tuesday had limit by 8:30 .. with every front more and more ducks are piling in on us .. what an awesome season down in the DU !!!

Pile Em’ up Dredger! The entire state seems to be hit or miss this year. Your area has been a Hit! Good luck the rest of the season.

Keep whacking and stacking-just got offer to hunt SE Arkansas and getting ready to exchange contact info with generous Sportsman who made offer to both Nick(Bayoubob-Nuck)and me!!!Hit yet another Big Branch bust of a hunt and for those folks who think I hunt same spot-no way in de world would I even consider dat,even if we were shooting ducks!!Gonna do some slough-stalking tomorrow in Honey Island,hit yet another Big Branch series of ponds Sat/Sun and get de planning set for Arkansas duck trip!!!wish de section of NShore Marsh I have been hunting would start getting greys-no big deal-gonna do my best balance of duck season and if I hit some SE Arkansas mallards,dat would be awesome,awesome,more than awesome!!!

thanks guys , and mande im glad to hear you will be going to arkansas and make a hunt. I hope you smash em there . I know its been a struggle for you this year finding them ducks!!Good luck !! we dont keep a number of kills we have but looking back we are north of 150 greys and over 200 total ducks. hopefully these next few weekends we can add a few more .. good luck to all

I do know a young gun,hunting both Venice as well as outta state(Oklahoma)and not sure how many guns they typically hunt but last correspondence I had with him,they had 406 ducks with over 25 of those being pintails!!!Nothing shabby bout their results!!!I will be fortunate to nab 25 ducks,other than what might be shot in Arkansas and for the Second Split,have exactly two ducks,a nice drake blue wing and ultra-fine drake Woodie!!!Gotta take de good with de bad and might seek some fine Honey Island sloughs for woodies tomorrow and those days when I can't hunt NShore Marsh.Gladly smash a few fine woodies to take away de sting of NOT having much to shoot in NShore Marsh.

Great hunt but you are killing me with those pictures. First split I was seeing just enough birds to fill my limits I hunt just north of lost lake and had not been seeing many birds this split. Two weeks ago someone crossed the center line and took out my boat trailer on my way home. I keep saying that I'm so glad no one was hurt but my boat is on the ground dry and will probably stay that way for a while longer. Maybe if I go to the dock and start crying I will find a ride. :)

Good to hear some Grey ducks are in the state and somebody is having some luck. We have seen a few more but still struggling. We will be back at it this weekend. Going to scout some property Saturday after the hunt 14 miles from where we have been hunting. Hope we see some ducks if we do will hunt it Sunday.\r\n\r\nHappy hunting!

Found a very promising NON-COMMUNITY spot in Honey Island Swamp today and might tag along trusty baitcaster for retrieves as sloughs out there swollen big-time.Have game plans in place for local hunts,most of which have been total busts and did spook ton of blue wings yesterday,they just did NOT return and the mallards did NOT want to play as well!!Good luck to all,can't wait for Arkansas trip latter part of this month and GB3 and I chatted quite a bit about the lack of local ducks,reasons behind it and guess guys gotta do what dey gotta do,even if it involves hunting a neighboring state!!!Hurts bad dat the local duck scene horrible with more than adequate feed,everything a duck could want or need and very pitiful results from just about everyone I have to chance to interact with.Hope Arkansas treats de Nuck and Futz duo to some greenheads,widgeons,specks and snows-got report from GB3 dat dey gots hundreds of ducks and geese,not all willing to play and hope when de Nuck and Futz team goes up there,we gets a chance to exercise population control!!!Got plenty of shells!!!Lacrosse new waders more than incredible-walked my booty off today in Honey Island Swamp and did not see too many woodies but found where they tended to want to fly!!!Dat is big part of Woodie equation-just like other ducks-being where dey wants to be vs where you want them to be or where you want to be!!!
