Bust em up-headed back to fine Honey Island slough, this time armed with nice lil baitcaster and big ole Top Dog to assist in retrieving downed woodies,squirrels-last trip out had plenty of chances at tree rats but NO way to retrieve em as slough way too deep and water was raging.Got dat covered-just hope both tree rats and woodies cooperate-gonna give it my best shot!!!Congrats-my Arkansas connection texted me back and they had tough hunt today as well as de Nuck and Futz Duo!!

Hope to flush scratch hunts from de ole system by forgetting totally bout de local Marsh and instead hit de fine and productive sloughs in Honey Island, taking small yak or lightweight Chapman pirogue along for retrieves.Would most definitely qualify as insanity to keep heading to duck-less Marsh and 'Hope' for ducks vs going where de woodies always seem to fly right past my new-found spot!!!
