Well this was the end only 51 ducks in 12 hunts 2 man blind , last year 250 in 18 hunts with 2 some 3 man. This by for is the worst in my hunting life. Hope next year get better but sadly I do not see it with only 2 do-grees then 1 for 40 days hope that not so. Even doe we only got 1 this year, they make it a fun year when they r there look like they make it better for other ducks .The only was I see a better season next year we would need a change of some kind to short stoping up north , por let us feed down here, And we also need a later open and b able to hunt in Feb. when the cold come down.

speckle_searcher,At least yall shot SOME greys, took me til darn-near end of horrendous season to even see a few greys where de Nuck and Futz Duo been hunting!!!Hate to tell ya baiting ya pond would NOT help as dat already taken care of(legally)quite a bit N of us via changes in Migratory Bird Treaty.Hope does indeed spring eternal and those of us diehards hunting E Zone got one more week end and if doable,I have total of four possible EZone hunts(probably gonna skip Sun to take Wifey fishing de Trestles). If ya saw our proposed Season dates for 2020/2021,we do end on last day of Jan 2021.Arkansas closes on Jan 31,2020 and GB3 and de Nuck and Futz Duo plans an assault, hopefully on geese and mallards and whatever else decides to fly close enough!!!

Yes this weekend was the end of another declining season. I hunt just north of Lost lake South of Houma. I started hunting this area with my Father In Law 20 years ago. He hunted it 30 years before that. We would spread out across the 640 acres and consistently kill limits picking and choosing making banner hunts. Now there were times when conditions and setting up in the wrong place caused us a poor hunt now and then but we new tomorrow would be a better day. I was hooked. The funny thing was the Men before me would keep talking about how good it use to be. They admitted that some years were poor but most were better by a long shot. They were comparing that to what I though twas banner hunts. Now today I hunt the lease mostly by myself moving to where I think six ducks will fly by. Other that come for the weekend as company only fish.
