Me and two Abita KC buddies were hoping we might replicate the modest success I had just last week at the Trestles but the strong winds and muddy water did us in big-time and we started our trip at the Trestles after launching at de Dock and we liked to froze our tails off, thank God for thick hunting clothes and Gore-Tex gloves. We made a trip back to de Dock after tossing and tossing fine soft plastics that last week enticed nice and fat specks to gobble em up and we chatted with experienced troller we met,Mike R(did not totally catch his last name,no big deal)and he was MOST appreciative of us telling him how doggone muddy de Lake was and he pointed us in direction of Eden Isles Canals where he said he was gonna troll with stainless steel wire and sounds to me like Mike R quite a veteran Trout Troller. We used Lowrance electronics to possibly locate drop-offs and fish suspended and I was lucky enough to entice decent 15 in speck to grab Limetreuse Fin-S Shaker threaded onto Fin-S fine, fine, fine jigheads with ring-shank anchor grip(3/8oz).Did notice Mike R was still out when we got back to de Dock and got me executive decision to make-NOT gonna try Trestles tomorrow but MIGHT try NShore Marsh for ducks, followed by possible deer stand time in early afternoon, stretching into early evening!!!Got another nice shipment of Fin-S Shakers, these are HUGE 4.5 inch and BIG BAITS=BIG FISH most of de time!!!Headed to SE Arkansas next Mon-Wed and can't wait.Got hunt report from GB3,unfortunately he has had few stinkeroo hunts, hope de Nuck and Futz Duo brings him good luck!!!Dat's de beauty of ACCURATE and TIMELY reports, posts, videos, etc!!!
