Had tough decision(executive one)this am-try for Lady P reds along possibly muddy shorelines, try T-Funky slabs in almost equally muddy conditions, try stalking Big Branch tree rats and last choice was de winner!!!Did not have to endure super-early wake up as where I intended to hunt not that far a drive and got set up just before sunrise and felt today gonna be decent one for stalking tree rats.Almost immediately after sun rise, took our ear plugs to listen carefully and heard distinctive sound of tree rat crunching down on pine cone, lined him up and dropped him DOA!Not long later heard same sounds, another tree rat DOA and last one(huge male)made mistake of showing himself slowly walking on huge limb of monster live oak, dropped him as well but NOT DOA and had to quickly dispatch him-came home with three fine tree rats, only saw four so not too shabby!!!Headed across Lake for Medicare Client meeting and just finished cleaning these fine tree rats,Wifey got plenty to add to the others we managed to bag this season and older son(born on Leap Year,Leap Day)celebrating his 32nd birthday this year and realized small game season ends the 29th of this month!!!
